The Online Policy Group is seeking members of the team that responds to online defamation against the disabled community. Each Disability SWAT Team Member should have contacts with groups serving deaf, blind, or other disabled folks, and a familiarity with issues particular to the disabled community. Prefer individuals with online policy experience and a commitment to improving access and ending discrimination online for a wide variety of communities facing obstacles online.
Skill Requirements
Each Online Policy Group Disability SWAT Team Member must have experience dealing with disability issues and with online issues, as well as a commitment to social justice. Ability to sign for the deaf or to produce Braille documents a plus. Basic computer skills, such as word processing, email, and web browsing are a prerequisite for the position.
