Volunteer: Board Director (Legal Board)
The Online Policy Group is seeking individuals with online policy experience and a commitment to improving access and ending discrimination online for a wide variety of communities facing obstacles online. The board oversees the functioning of the organization, initiates fundraising plans and activities, and employs the Executive Director. Skill Requirements Online Policy Group Board Directors must have experience in the online industry or in a nonprofit organization dealing with online issues, as well as a commitment to social justice and strong fundraising skills. Board Directors must commit to attending all Board meetings, whether in person or by conference call. Meetings are scheduled in San Francisco at 12 noon on the first Saturdays of March, June, September, and December. Serving on a Board subcommittee and working on Board projects outside of meetings is expected. Basic computer skills, such as word processing, email, and web browsing are a prerequisite for the position. To volunteer, please fill out the volunteer form. Thanks for your interest! |
