New Online Policy Group Project Boosts Non-Profit Access
California Community Colocation Project Offers Colo Services
San Francisco -
Marking a great opportunity for non-profit
ventures seeking Internet access, the Online Policy Group
(OPG) today announced a new California Community Colocation
Project (CCCP).
"The California Community Colocation Project is the first
project in Northern California to focus exclusively on
providing Internet colocation and related services for
non-profit entities," said CCCP Director and Founder David
Weekly. "As the director of the CCCP, I'm thrilled to be on
board with the OPG."
"The colocation project fits extremely well with the Online
Policy Group mission of ensuring equal Internet access for
all," commented OPG Executive Director Will Doherty.
CCCP provides Internet colocation services for individuals,
free software and open source projects, and non-profit
organizations. The project plans to meet a pent-up demand
for non-profit colocation services in order to become a
first-tier provider of Internet access for those who are
underserved.
The CCCP's first networked facility is already in operation
in Fremont with a Silicon Valley facility beginning
operations in January 2002.
