Boards and Committees

The Online Policy Group has several boards and committees:

• The Corporate Board
• The Advisory Boards
• Development Advisory Committee
• Operations Advisory Committee

If you are interested in serving on any of these board or committees, email boards@onlinepolicy.org with your name, contact information, and area of interest.

The Corporate Board

The corporate board is the top-level decisionmaking body of the Online Policy Group. The board includes the following directors:

• Will Doherty (founding board)
• Roger Klorese (founding board)
• Art McGee (since September 20, 2003)
• Theeba Soundararajan (since July 9, 2003)
• Susan Tenby (since July 5, 2003)
• David Weekly

These are directors emeritus from the board:

• Biella Coleman
• David Gudelunas (founding board)

Board meetings are open to the public, except during executive sessions. For more information about the mechanics of the board, see the Bylaws. For announcements and minutes of board meetings, see the Events and Accomplishments page.

The Advisory Boards

The advisory boards provide a mechanism for experienced volunteers to provide input and oversight to the directions, goals, and operations of the Online Policy Group. The following advisory boards are all seeking members:

Development Advisory Committee

The development advisory committee is the primary fundraising organ for the Online Policy Group and is currently seeking members.

Operations Advisory Committee

The OPG corporate board created the operations advisory committee at a special board meeting on July 5, 2003, tasking the committee with handling routine operational matters and reporting back to the board any status or decisions requiring corporate board action.
